The 12 acre Thermal Lake at Héviz has been
known and used since the Roman times. It is
fed by a natural hot spring, which results a complete
change of the lake’s water every day. The
mildly radioactive water contains sulphur, alkalis,
carbonate of hydrogen and principally calcium
salts. The thermal water gushing up
from the crater keeps the mass of water of the
lake in a constant slow motion.
